Jekaterina Rojaka takes office at the Ministry of Economy

Jekaterina Rojaka, with her experience of many years as Chief Economist at the Bank DnB NORD, is taking up her duties at the Ministry of Economy. From today, she is appointed Adviser to the Minister of Economy responsible for macroeconomic analysis and the development of the analytical resources of the  Ministry.

‘It is necessary to strengthen the unit responsible for analytical activities at the Ministry of Economy to enable the State to react promptly to macroeconomic changes and, given the impact on the national economy, to take decisions that are absolutely necessary for the country’s business environment. Jekaterina Rojaka is a professional in this work, so her competences will contribute to both achieving the objectives set by the Ministry of Economy’s present leaders and to improving the activities of the analysis unit which will become operational following the reform of the Ministry of Economy’s structure,’ says Minister Virginijus Sinkevičius.

For the last 15 years, Ms Rojaka has worked for the Bank DnB NORD as Chief Economist and Head of Economic Research Department at DNB Markets. She has also worked for the World Bank, was an economist at the Bank of Lithuania, a lecturer at Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and ISM University of Management and Economics.
